The fifa Volta game is awesome.. I don't even play the regular fifa game, the Volta is actually more fun.. it could probably be it's own game

I'm not good enough to play online tho, it's actually embarrassing sometimes when I clunk it all around the little box of a goal

Dove back into Battlefront 2. Had a great time with it. Perhaps someone wants to try the new co-op mode?

I finally started TLOU. I just picked up Ellie and so far there's a bit too much cut-scening and not enough action for my liking, but of course I'll stick with it.

It's very much a cinematic game, but the gameplay scenarios get longer and longer as you progress.

That's what I'm looking forward to. Some of the earlt stealth sections were nice and tense, I'm good with going slow if that's the case, but I'm not a huge fan of just watching. Had the same issue with Uncharted.

I agree. The cutscenes at the beginning build the connection to the characters, but eventually the gameplay becomes just as important in telling the story.

New coop mode eh? I haven’t played since the first couple months it was out. Any other big updates I should know about?

I actually really liked the couch coop mode in the first one a lot even if it wasn’t very robust. My wife and I played it a bunch for the survival mode.

They've added a ton since the first few months of the game's life. Check it out again.

Zen Chess for the Switch. It was all of $1.60, and I love chess puzzles. That's how hardcore of a gamer I am these days.

Also still plodding away through Zelda: BotW. I think I need to get back to the main quest, because I've done so much exploring/unlocking towers that I have no idea where to start in terms of clearing a particular area of everything.

My wife was looking at Black Friday ads and suggested we get a 50'' 4K TV. I reminded her that it wouldn't really fit in the family room as we have it configured; the kids would probably destroy it. "Well, yeah," she says, "But you can put it downstairs in your office for now, next year we can bring it upstairs." I currently game on a 32'' 720p TV downstairs. I feel like there's a trap in here somewhere.

She'll throw out the 32"
Then bring up the 50" next year
And you'll be left without a gaming TV.

Sounds like only 12 more months of video games for you.

Word on the street is that the current gaming TV will be used exclusively for Hallmark Christmas movies in our room. So I lose the bedroom but gain a 4K TV. I think I can live with that and survive on spiders down here for a while.

I bought this game and I'm going to beat it tonight.

It was a little short, but otherwise it was exactly what you'd want out of an Obsidian game.

This is a major selling point to me for this game. I hope to check it out during the winter.

About 2/3 of the way through Luigi's Mansion 3 and also slowly progressing in Jedi: Fallen Order.

Backlog I'd like to get to in the next month or two:

Crash Bandicoot Trilogy (at least 2 and 3)
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Assassin's Creed Odyssey (gonna give it another go)
Cuphead (finish the last half)
