When I saw Roger do the Wall in London Gilmour agreed to show up for 1 night to do the CN solo out of the ?? run at the O2. It wasn't on my night. Still stunning though.

Cliched maybe, but Comfortably Numb is one of my favorite songs of all time and probably my all time favorite solo. The PULSE performance put me in awe and took my appreciation for live music and a brilliant stage performance to a whole new astronomical level. That’s basically the holy grail to me.

would be kind of a boring choice but there's no way to argue comfortably numb might be the toppermost of the poppermost here.

Roger asked David to play back in the summer of 2010 as a condition of Roger playing at a fundraiser David Gilmour was performing at in aid of the Hoping Foundation. David wanted Roger to play Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb. However, he also wanted Roger to perform To Know Him Is to Love Him.

David played lead guitar on Comfortably Numb using his black Fender Stratocaster guitar and also brought his mandolin out at the end of the show for the final song, Outside the Wall.

The concert, which is being filmed, was also attended by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason. He joined Roger and David on stage at the end during Outside The Wall playing tambourine!

Probably my favorite studio solo of all time. He just manages to wrangle the human experience out of his guitar.

I am not aware of another professional musician going through greater growth on their instrument than Gilmour. To go from his playing on A Saucer Full of Secrets to his playing on the run of DSOTM thru The Wall is truly amazing.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.
