Baby Yoda was born the same year as Anakin, and is, thus, the light rising to meet Vader's dark.
It's an interesting idea. George has already addressed that Luke an Leia are the light to counter Vader's dark. But that doesn't mean The Force didn't prep a contingency plan.

I have a twist on that. The twins to counterbalance the emperor and Vader.

Baby yoda to counterbalance Snoke

Eh?? Eh???

They were both out there at the same time
Yeah, I can dig that. OR to balance Palpatine's return. Because The Force would know that how long it takes Yodas to age and grow and mature.

Whatever it is, it CANNOT be a coincidence that Anakin and Baby Yoda were both born in 41 BBY.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

This is exactly what I DON'T want out of this. The moment they start tying it in heavily with the OT, then there are all these expectations and presumptions that come into my viewing of the thing.

I get that it's set after the OT and before the new ones, and that obviously the Empire and the Jedis will have some impact because they're integral to the world. But I'll be way happier if Mando's story exists wholly apart from Luke and Vader.
This show is literally born from an imagination populated by action figures. I have zero expectations for this show outside of that. Pure, playground, kids in the dirt, action figures pewing and slamming into each other fun.

Why?

Because I haven't watched it yet, I don't know, but are we sure the baby is Force sensitive? Did they establish that yet?

What if we see the youngling training with Rey? It doesn’t even have to be huge.
Just a cool thing they could drop in.

Audience would lose their minds excited with that

Come back after you’ve watched.

It’s not that funny and won’t make sense anyways to you right now
