The other day I couldn’t get rid of the subtitles no matter what I did on the tv, the app or the roku. I considered PMing ChrisH2 to resolve. That’s how bad it got.

I noticed that the menu overlay - the thing that pops up when you pause the show - sticks around for an inordinately long time after you restart what you're watching. Also it varies, because sometimes it's faster than others.

is it appropriate to post "ok buner"? or has that run its course?

I wish the Simpsons was in the right aspect ratio.

At least the fucking FX app had the option to change it to 4:3.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Disney+ is a huge success. I haven't seen my kids all weekend.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

It doesn't seem to have a "recently watched" or "continue watching" function. I don't like that at all.

I noticed that too.

One thing I did like though is that it did not immediately skip to the next episode of the Mandalorian.

I'm rewatching the Clone Wars series. So every time I log in I have to search for it again. And if I stop mid episode and come back later, it would be nice to have a "continue watching" function.

Movies have a "Resume" function but it's so annoying that I feel like it's a bug. What I've found is that I'll select a movie we've already started watching, but there will only be a "Play" button. Clicking that resumes is from where we've left off. But if you click "Back," it'll bring you back to the movie's title screen and *then* there will be two buttons, one for Resume and one for Play From Start. Haven't been able to find anything similar for tv episodes.

I've noticed this too. The Play button really is a resume if you've started it already. You can add shows to your watchlist.

Right. But if I start an episode, have to stop halfway through and come back later, my only option is to search for that show/episode again, then go into it. I want to log in and see a "continue watching" to at least get back to that episode easily. #lifeishard

I agree that this is also a pain in the butt. Netflix remembers what episode I was on for series I haven't watched in 3 weeks, Disney is like the whole thing is rebooted each time you open the app.

I'm not trying to make excuses for Disney, but I expect a lot of things minor things to be wrinkled out pretty quickly (ex. The Simpsons aspect ratio is already in the works to being fixed).
