I love Welcome to the Machine, but I’d be fine with Us and Them winning it all.

Twenty or thirty years ago I'd have gone Us + Them. But not today.

Re: R32: Welcome To The Machine vs Us and Them
Well here's a funny thing...
I looked at the match-up and thought "'Us and Them' for sure for me here" but then I listened to them both, and Welcome to the Machine takes this without a doubt in my mind.
Having said that, the solo, demo version of Us and Them I linked earlier in the comp is likely one of my favourite Floyd things ever, but I'm choosing based on studio tracks at the end of the day, so shit is what it is.

Us and Them was my all time favorite song by any band ever for a while. Still in my top 10, for sure. Maybe top 5.

I adore Welcome to the Machine, too, but come on. This actually wouldn't have been a bad Championship Round, honestly.

"Us and Them," easily. "Welcome to the Machine" is a little monotone by comparison, though I love both songs.

Re: TIED R32: Welcome To The Machine vs Us and Them
Dark Side of the Moon is really a remarkable album -- I've been beaten over the head with it so hard over the years, and listened to it obsessively on my own time, and it hasn't diminished in my eyes at all. Every song just takes me someplace completely special. The Wall is the complete opposite -- I hardly ever want to listen to it, and when I do, even the songs I still enjoy feel like classic rock warhorses who've lost a ton of their sparkle.
