So when he’s looking through the thermal imaging we hear the client tell the doctor something about the material and I can’t protect you anymore

The big mando has a name.

Paz Vizla

And he’s voiced by Favreau.
Who also voiced pre Vizla
Wonder what that could mean?

Almost certainly plans for cloning the kid.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Still not loving the score. Some nice moments but overall lacking.
They should bring McCready on board
I like the moments of Western riffs, like The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.

We have a moff Gideon we’ve yet to meet.

I’m thinking this will tie into Palpatine somehow. Look at the timing of the last episode.

And what does he mean by I can no longer protect you? From who?

A quick montage, a brief scene with light conflict that's quickly resolved, on to the next mission. Loads of expository dialogue. This ep is the lightest on that stuff so far but it's all still there. That's on Favreau.
It's like a Flash Gordon serial, exactly what Star Wars was so heavily influenced by. It will slowly reveal itself to be involved more than that, but right now I'm ok with it being a container, simple story.
To me it feels more like Rebels. It's their animated model more than FG serial. But I take your point.

The sneaking around and taking out the troopers was 100% rebels vibes :)

I got the 7 day free preview and watched the first 3 episodes.

Baby Yoda is pretty dang cute.

This is a pretty good looking tv show. The production is great.

Music is ok.

First two eps were decent, that last one with the mandos helpings as kinda lame.

Were there kid Mandos in that cave with helmets on? So that’s like the Mando thing? They never take helmets off? Weird.

It’s so odd because you are so used to SW being one way (epic movie) and now they are giving you an episodic tv show. Sometimes the scope is jarring.

I’m not really invested enough to finish. I’ll probably wait for another free preview after all the episodes have aired.

And if I ever do something illegal in the galaxy, something in me triggers bounty hunter trackers? That part is goofy

This doesn’t have anything to do with SW, but twitter. I notice a lot of times peoples nicknames reflect current events or stuff that’s popular. Can you change your nickname without signing up for a new account?

Hear me out.

Ahsoka fought at the siege of mandalore.

We see mando having flashbacks
Could be to that battle?
Could he have seen her or met her? Who took out that battle droid when he was put in the bunker?

I’d say ahsoka is gonna show up

Take baby yoda and we’re gonna get further stories within that. Bearing in mind we’re seeing the siege of mandalore in clone wars season 7. East tie in to show her save our young mando

durdencommatyler wrote:Chapter 1 was clearly directed by a guy who does animation but has never direct live action before. I love Filoni but compared to the two follow-up chapters homeboy is legit out of his depth.

I'm sure he'll get there, though.

Deborah Chow directed the third episode.

I'm willing to put up with some short coming since I like the characters. Well if I'm being honest I love baby Yoda.

I know. I complimented her and the DP earlier. She did a fantastic job. That's part of what made Filoni's work in Chapter 1 stand out even more.
