Part of why he was fired. His script didn’t jive with their outline for the films.
And mainly Carrie has died and he couldn’t rewrite around her. She was to feature heavily in this film by all accounts

"Bringing back the Emperor was an idea JJ brought to the table when he came on board," Trevorrow says. "It’s honestly something I never considered. I commend him for it. This was a tough story to unlock, and he found the key."

That and this bit:

Another Star Wars filmmaker, Rian Johnson, incorporated one of Trevorrow's suggestions into his own movie, The Last Jedi, working from a concept that the Jurassic World director had looked to include himself. "I just asked Rian if he could include a little moment where Rey and Poe meet for the first time," he says. "They’re such beloved characters, it felt right for them to have some history in the next movie. I thought the way he did it was perfect."

Are super interesting to me.

Rey and Poe has already met in tfa at the end.

The story group were not Happy apparently.

It’s not a big deal though. I want poe and Rey to make babies.

Well they don't actually meet in the movie, only in the novelization.

They’re both in the room when bb8 tells poe he has the last piece of the map.

They already banged. Just playing coy on the falcon in tlj to throw people off.
Office politics n all that.

Fairly sure Finn is gonna die a heroic death.

There’s two black people in the new Star Wars.

Laws of badly written sci fi series says even one black guy is token.

Who made that law?

Star Trek

Who brought Star Trek back?

Jj Abrams.

Finns dead

And jj Abrams is a racist.
