I don’t think it’s much of a reach, he said they have talked to nearly every team about what their free agency plans are.

It’s 50/50 whether it’s a lockout or a strike

But that doesn't mean specific targets or dollar amounts.

I don’t think it’s a reach to assume those two things, especially the latter, were discussed and the last two offseasons are evidence of it. The fact that it didn’t even occur to him that it was something you shouldn’t say, to me, is telling.

What about the last two offseasons is evidence? A couple pitchers sitting out half a season because no one was willing to give up the comp pick to meet their salary demands? Most free agents got right around what they were expected to get last year.

Just because MLBTradeRumors accounts for collusion now in their predictions doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Revenue share for players has dropped 4% the last two offseasons, even though teams are more profitable than they have have ever been(it’s hard to quantify this because teams are secretive about their profitability, but given that some of the least valuable teams in the league are selling for billions it’s a pretty good indicator)

Bryce Harper, coming off a 3.4 fWAR season and with one 5+ fWAR season under his belt (which came four years ago) cleared $300 million. What SHOULD he have gotten?

Is it really not going to be the "Worcester Red Sox"?

I assume it's all about the mascot that's going to replace Paws (I saw Paws recently at an event at my son's playgroup and it broke my heart). My money is on a bird.

I am hoping one of the people who performs as Paws will abscond with the costume and continue to attend functions until the end of time.

I am sure "Flash the Red-tailed Hawk" will be just as iconic.

I don't know how people know these things, but apparently Mookie has stopped following the Red Sox on Twitter and Instagram.

That was only a one-year deal to avoid arbitration, homey. They are still going to let him walk next year.
