It's hard for me to not like a pizza, I'll even eat many frozen pizzas. But Papa John's is disgusting

When Papa John's first appeared, their pizza was actually pretty decent.

But it has gotten exponentially worse over the years.

Little Caesers is easily the worst of all, though. They are at a unique level of suck.

Here in New Haven County, CT, there is no excuse for Dominoes except you're drunk and/or stoned, it's late, and they will deliver. I have never had good pizza outside the NYC - Boston corridor, tho I do hear Chicago has a nice style.

I just heard the most totally fucked story I have heard in a while.

Woman with 3 kids begged judge to raise bail on her estranged husband who was in jail for multiple no contact order violations. There is audio of her from just a few weeks ago telling the judge “if he gets out he will kill me.”

She asked for bail to be raised to $2M. Judge raised it but only to $250k.

About 10 days later the guy got out, and about 5 days after that he killed her in the parking lot of the kids’ school while all three of them were there in the car.

Judge was interviewed and basically just said “well, you can never predict what’s going to happen in these situations, each one is unique.”

he killed himself after a chase, and did so on one of the roads less than five miles from my house. I was driving by on a perpendicular road and saw all the cops and wondered what it was for. the next day I saw the news and it was terrible to read.

fuck that judge. I don't understand how they almost always say "oh he's just a little heated" and deny what's in front of them.

and to make it even weirder...I know the judge. I mean, not like we go bowling but his son was in my son's elementary school and they were friends-ish. saw an article talking about it and my wife and I were both somewhat surprised we knew him, and also that he was a judge now.

haven't seen him in about four years or so. he was a lawyer for the Marines and in the reserves and also practiced law locally until becoming a judge.
