Nice. I've never been to the West Side Theater but I've walked past it a ton. They do weird stuff there sometimes, which is a good thing.wease wrote:Joe, are you familiar with the West Side theatre? (I think that’s the name she said.) The wife and oldest are going to see Little Shop of Horrors there in February.

I'm seeing David Byrne's American Utopia at the Hudson Theater tonight and I'm very excited about it. I'll be sure to let you all know what I think tomorrow.

This was wonderful. A ton of fun and unexpectedly moving. He also did a song from Love This Giant which I didn't expect and made me super happy.

Re: Broadway Joey
Alright, so it's far from perfect. But holy shit what a wonderful evening of theatre. These songs mean everything to me and the cast SLAYS! I was a weepy mess through most of it. Such a wonderful night.
And to top it off I get to work at the theatre for a couple of weeks!
I might watch the show every night.

Re: Broadway Joey
It's a new Broadway musical that uses Alanis's songs (mostly from the Jagged Little Pill album, but there are also songs from other parts of her catalog) to tell an original story.Bammer wrote:You cried throughout an Alanis Morisette concert?
The music and lyrics are obviously written by Alanis and Glen Ballard. The book (script) is by Diablo Cody. It's directed by Diane Paulus.

In Bammer's defence, is it that far off a thought of you crying during an Alanis concert?durdencommatyler wrote:It's a new Broadway musical that uses Alanis's songs (mostly from the Jagged Little Pill album, but there are also songs from other parts of her catalog) to tell an original story.Bammer wrote:You cried throughout an Alanis Morisette concert?
