Durds I’m listening to the binge mode reviews but I don’t get it. They jump all around the story rather than doing it linear. What’s up with that?

You're listening to it wrong. :haha:

The do a plot recap, in linear order at the start. Then they do different segments about various ideas. Like the main theme of the ep, etc. They jump around a bit on these subsequent segments to underline and illustrate the larger point.

The show has great moments of free form conversation and humor. But it's tightly structured. At least that's true of their Thrones series & all the SW eps I've listened to so far, which admittedly isn't all of them yet.

Ah cool. I’m enjoying it mostly.
I wish they were as funny as they think they are but they often are.

Can be really informative too though.

Didnt love that episode. I was hoping maybe BY would pull some force magic to help take down the AtSt. That would have given it more meat. Right now it just feels like little mini episodes that don't really matter for the grand scheme.

However, its only 4 episodes in and they are already filming season 2 so im totally along for the ride. Geezes, some of the dialogue was bad and that actress was terrible. I also hated the music for this episode.

Additionally, were those bad guys an updated version of these guys in Ewoks?

That was my first thought.

I don't mind the smaller, contained episodes. I just wasn't emotionally invested in this one and there wasn't enough visual artistry to rise about that lack of connection.

Yeah some of the hipster joking around can get tiresome. I happen to love it because I'm literally there exact audience for this. But I totally get what you mean (and even I get a little worn out by some of it from time to time -- the Force masturbation stuff in the AotC ep, for example).

For me, the real joy in the pod is there critical analysis. They are both really smart and insightful critics. They are able to joke around and recognize both the absurdity and the troublesome aspects of the franchise while still diving deep and pulling at fascinating threads.

It's really one of my favorite pods out there. Mad props to Simple Torture for putting in on my radar in the first place back during GOT.

while watching the last episode I told my son they were going to recruit a bunch of circus bugs and he didn't think it was very funny.

It kind of has a 80s/early 90s cartoon vibe to it that I sort of dig.

Little chink in the FX armor when Amy Sedaris meets Baby Yoda. That's a pretty green screened scene.

That being said, there was a lot to like in this episode.

I still hate being unable to binge this shit.

I'm a little worried about only 3 episodes left and the story isn't moving along at all. Like they know they are doing season 2 so they are just pushing towards a cliffhanger at the end of this season and that's the only big moment we'll get.

Well, if he's gonna show up in Most Eisley, we're gonna recognize the culture.
