I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

yeah, while I'm pleasantly surprised for all the roles that Joe has shared, I still feel like she should be a household name. Again, Zooey Deschanel but actually talented*

I really don't see much of a comp between them.

It is interesting to me though that ZD started out doing snarky characters and didn't become "It" until she started singing and switched gears into that "adorkable" thing. Which LZ has never even pretended to try to embrace for a second.

Yeah I don't think LZ is trying to do adorkable at all. But they look alike, and even have very similar voices (literal voices, I mean, not creative). Given Hollywood's affection for commodities, I'm just surprised she hasn't had even more success. I mean it as a compliment.
I totally get what you mean.

Finished up Creepshow last night and enjoyed most of the stories, they reminded me a bit of Tales-from-the-Crypt-lite but not in a bad way; looking forward to the new season.

Man, I'm so out of the loop. Is there a new Creepshow series? What does it air on?
