No one's building walls that will prevent us from appreciating it if it's good. But neither can any one of us just go in with no expectations whatsoever. Anyone who says they can is lying.

If I somehow manage to build walls in my head, I'll just sing this to myself until they're gone:

This is my mistake. Let me make it good
I raised the wall and I will be the one to knock it down

I'm actually more exited after reading the reviews. Which can only lead to bad places, but still.

overall how did you think Eddie sounded on the record?

And can you confirm whether or not that piece of music from the tour montage is on this?
Thanks (btw i`m benz on the other forum that guy who wrote the shitty first review of the event :( )
So i think Eddie sounded awesome on the record but again it`s hard to tell cause the sound was really bad where i stood. Too many uninterested press people who talked the whole time...
What i remember most is that at some song he did some falsetto singing which was pretty cool. Really not sure which one this was i think Fathers Son or Sirens. Then there where songs like the beginning of Fathers Son where i really first thought it`s Stone singing but in fact it was Eddie so i think he also tried some new approaches but most of it is good old Eddie at it`s best. His voice is really in the front of the mix which i really liked as well.
Concerning the piece of music from the tour video. I`m not sure 100% but i would say it`s NOT on the album but again it might have been an intro to one of the songs which i couldn`t hear well.
For some context which pj albums do you like the most/least?
Hehe that`s a tough one.
Ok by far far far the best one by miles, no lightyears is V.S.

1. VS
2. Vitalogy
3. Ten (because of the songs, production not so much)
4. Yield
5. No Code
6. Peal Jam
7. Riot Act
8. Backspacer
9. Binaural

but for me 6-9 is interchangeable. Really depends on the day and mood. I love them all! Only thing for sure is that V.S. is on top.

Also, DaveVedder, did you manage to find out which song had handclaps in it?

Someone said it might be the intro to Pendulum. Do you think thats true? And fuck those press people. :finger: And greetings from the north of germany. :peace:
Yes it might be pendulum! Just listened to it again and this might be it.

Germans, gas and showers in the same sentence. Was that coincidental?
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

Of course! I should have said no one other than Heathen.

Is there a video with sound of that handclap? I only know the Lightning Bolt announcement video where MYM is playing on top of it...

Yeah, but he also was pretty proud of Inside Job.
He does this every record - I remember Who You Are being the best song they had ever written and You Are being his favourite off Riot Act. Those aren't bad songs but they aren't amazing either.

I know it's a difficult question to answer, but that layered production... would you compare it to the thick production of Binaural, or a different album?

Yeah, sorry that's the one I'm referring to. No vid with sound :( Just wondering if you heard hand claps anywhere.
