This is opening the weekend before Christmas, though. Many people are traveling that weekend so they'll wait until over Christmas to see it. So not on opening weekend

There's also still a ton of people "boycotting" and trying to drive down sales. There's also the trend that the third act of both the PT and the OT were the lowest grossers when they opened. There are a lot of factors. It's still gonna make a shit tone of money. But I won't be surprised at all to see it gross less the 7 and 8 on opening weekend.

«Lucasfilm and Walt Disney’s Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker opened with a forceful $175.5 million in its domestic debut. That’s 20% below the $220 million launch of The Last Jedi in 2015 and 29% below the $248 million launch of The Force Awakens in 2015. It’s still the third-largest December opening ever. If the estimates hold, it’ll be the 12th-biggest opening ever, between Beauty and the Beast ($174 million in 2017) and Captain America: Civil War ($179 million in 2016). To the extent that the overall number is a “disappointment,” it’s only such in comparison to previous Star Wars movies and recent Disney flicks. Sans inflation (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II opened to $169 million in 2011), there’s just one non-Disney opening bigger than this, namely Universal’s $208 million debut for Jurassic World. They’d be thrilled if Jurassic World 3 were to open with $175.5 million.»
