No point in reading spoilers now. Most of us will have seen the movie within a week. Really looking forward to Wednesday.

Yeah it’s almost time. No way giving in now to unlikely ‘leaks’ Especially given the provenance.

I've heard most of the leaks. Some of it sounds good, most of it (the most important parts) sounds dumb. Typical Disney Star Wars.

Clones feels like an easy way out of the corner they’ve painted themselves into, especially bringing Palpatine back.tragabigzanda wrote:I don't follow this stuff as closely as the rest of you, but all this clone stuff sounds idiotic. What's the general consensus? Are die-hard fans on board with this?
ANH mentioning The Clone Wars back in 77. Whoa, Clone wars? Sounds pretty sweet. Wonder what happened.
Prequel movies. Oh, just clone troopers vs. droids. Nothing about the ramifications of using cloning for other nefarious purposes, like swapping out politicians, galactic leaders, or making clones so you have a cheap labor force or something that makes them controversial and worthy of a galactic war. Or nothing foreshadowing using this technology to use as a plot device in later episodes.
ST trilogy. Reintroducing cloning to bring back the original baddie? Oh we can bank on this plot device because it was used earlier in the franchise. Genius!

Yeah, saw that. If they don’t use the names in the movie just keep them nameless.dimejinky99 wrote:Doesn’t matter much I guess but the knights of rens names have apparently leaked

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
Not sure why but I just popped in on this thread, and the idea of clones sounds like it would do as much to ruin a good thing as time travel does.tragabigzanda wrote:I don't follow this stuff as closely as the rest of you, but all this clone stuff sounds idiotic. In both cases, nothing matters because it can either be undone or it didn’t really happen cuz it was the clone.
