I watched it on my phone but I watch just about everything on my phone. I can appreciate a good 1080p surround sound set up but I like to watch movies in multiple, sleep-interrupted sessions with my head on my pillow.bune wrote:it looks like it'd been better in a real theater with gigantic speakers, how was it on Netflix?Kaius wrote:6 Underground was so much fucking fun. What a blast. My only complaint is I wish it was an hour longer.
To any who have seen it and likely watch more movies than I do; any recommendations for similarly good action flicks?

Re: What movies are you watching?
Angry Birds 2. not as horrible as you'd think? it's kind of like an SNL skit in a movie since there are so many SNL alum in it. the little bird skits peppered throughout were wildly inconsistent in quality/humor but weren't terrible either.
maybe a C, C- for the story but the animation was great. there were several parts where it almost looked like they switched from CGI to a weird Laika stop motion hybrid because the texture/light work on the models.

The Irishman: Scorcese on auto pilot, but still better than most anything else. Good to see De Niro and Pacino and Pesci interact with each other.
Klaus: literally the story of a globalist/capitalist power colonizing some far off land using the powers of consumerism, greed and materialism to destroy the backwards, evil traditions of the natives and ultimately assimilate them into safe, meaningless, mainstream culture. And the colonizers are the good guys.
Neat visuals though. Maybe 2D animation can make a comeback using these techniques?

By the way, why is Anna Paquin in that movie? A mannequin could have played that role.
Harvey Keitel too for that matter.

Nope. Couldn't do it. Could only last 30 minutes into Cats. James Corden claims another victim.

Mixed feelings about Marriage Story, but I really liked the "Being Alive" scene. That kind of got to me

I know I'm a bigger Baumbach fan than a lot of others around here, so it's no surprise at all that I'm super excited to watch this movie. The timing just hasn't worked out. But I can't wait!
