Years from now we will look back on THC legalization the same way we do big tobacco: a lot of people looking to cash in as much as possible and not acting in public interest as a result. The wonder plant won't be getting a warning label anytime soon.

it's one thing to casually shit on DJT - but if you are gonna feign hardship at the expense of the reputation of a German train operator, you better bring scientific data because ZE TRAINS WILL RUN ON TIME!

https://nypost.com/2019/12/15/german-ra ... rst-class/
A German railway company has taken back an apology they made to Greta Thunberg after they realized the climate activist wasn’t schlepping it on the train’s floor but instead was treated “friendly” in first class.

The rail company was responding to an image Thunberg tweeted of herself sitting amid bags and suitcases on the floor of what she called “overcrowded trains through Germany.”

The company, Deutsche Bahn, initially released a statement that said they “continue working hard on getting more trains, connections and seats.”

They also thanked Thunberg for supporting the company’s battle against climate change and pointed out that the train she used had been running 100 percent on eco-friendly electricity.

But upon reflection, Deutsche Bahn said that Thunberg’s “overcrowded” claims were just hot air.

The rail company claimed that the teenager had a seat in first class between Kassel and Hamburg and that other members of her team were already sitting in first class from Frankfurt onwards.

“It would have been even nicer if you had also reported how friendly and competently our team served you at your seat in first class,” the company added.

Thunberg then claimed that jam-packed trains were actually great and having to sit on the floor wasn’t an issue.

“…this is no problem of course and I never said it was,” she tweeted. “Overcrowded trains is a great sign because it means the demand for train travel is high!”

Those are pretty petty complaints

Maybe it's because there are tons and tons of people out there using THC and not experiencing any of these horrible negative effects?

It's also funny how all of these horror stories center around vaping, but they never tell you what they were vaping exactly or where they got it from. Almost every time it turns out that they were buying unmarked carts from some douche on a street corner (because it's still illegal), but they will add it to the very end of the story like a little footnote, if they do at all. Funny how that happens.

And the guy who killed himself and said "pot killed my brain" seems to the the only extreme example that they ever trot out. This the 20th time I've read about it in an anti-pot article. Maybe they should find some other exceptions to exploit.

Not all pot is equal and that’s the point.

One study of pot products seized by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration found the potency increased from about 4% THC in 1995 to about 12% in 2014. By 2017, another study showed, the potency of illicit drug samples had gone up to 17.1% THC.
Under 20%? Someone’s buying on a budget.

The point is that these horror cases you are using as irrefutable evidence of pot's hidden evils are examples of people buying illegal, homemade-manufactured and laced vaping juice on the street, which will fuck you up bad and make you completely stupid. No different from buying illicit pills and finding out too late that they are laced with fetanol.

If it was legal to purchase recreationally under controlled conditions, it wouldn't be a problem. It's not rocket science.
