The Rise of Skywalker is the Fall of Star Wars. However, some might consider it a return to form. Ha!

Second viewing. Even better. We’re gonna have so much to Go ploughing through and dissect.

Fuck anyone saying this throws Rian or last Jedi under a bus.

It totally honours that film and is born of it. Completely. In the best way possible.

Luke...
Spoiler: show
Lifting his x wing outta the water as yodas theme plays. The exact theme that plays in empire when his same ship is stuck in the swamp and yoda does it
And the biggest smile on his face. Cos he did it.
Crying even thinking of it.
I wasn’t alone in the theater when it erupted :)

It took me a moment, during the movie, to click for that one. Then remembered the last "I know" moment from Han. Nice touch.

I guess it's possible that Rey is Kylo's aunt, depending on how you interpret Anakin's birth.

I wish published reviews didn't include opinions in the headline. I wouldn't mind avoiding reviews prior to Friday, but they're all over my news sites and facebook with headlines that announce TROS as disappointing.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Why wouldn't I be?

I'm surprised that it's getting so many negative reviews. I haven't seen the movie yet but that's pretty unusual for a SW film

I've seen quite a mix of both. Many of the original "reviews" were grabbing onto those on social media who didnt like it and spreading that across as headlines for a poor movie.

Since then, the last couple of days, ive seen a good mix of both with a majority of "Great close to a long franching, not perfect, and fan service"
