MD some of your dislikes are totally valid but I wonder if a new hope was released today we wouldn’t react in the same way. “So Han just left? Where did he go. He came back and how did he know where the fight was ? Cheap filmmaking !”

I don’t like that they brought palps back but i do love how it played out. Definitely felt rushed but all made sense to me the in the lore of Star Wars.

Knights of ren sucked and we’re pointless. And the scene where chewie walked out of the ship and wandered off and next thing you know he’s a prisoner was awful. No way chewie doesn’t destroy them.
There was a discussion in the TLJ or TFA thread about your first point. It's certainly a valid response, but A New Hope was a much simpler story that contained enough exposition to explain character choices. You can't claim to make a movie that ends nine movies and then have rushed/incomplete storytelling choices.

Maybe that's the thing about the particular scene. It felt like Hamill was in it, not Luke.

Probably, but it felt more natural. I can't really explain it?

In the real world we know that wasn’t an fu to Rian

In the online world same people saying Disney control everything and forced hacks to make decisions. And now saying they instructioned jj to flip off one of their own properties.
Disney don’t do that.

It’s bullshit obviously. But it’s depressing seeing so many outlets and people running with it.

You sound like someone vehemently defending Trump. It's a stupid, inconsequential, poorly made sci fi movie for kids.

I'm just blown away by how much attention these movies get at all, and how much you guys care about them. I'm trying to figure it out. Don't you have shoes or pet snakes to worry about or something?

I really liked TLJ and there was definitely some “let’s course correct in this one” to start the movie, but it was fine. Everything is fine.

No one is right or wrong here, tree. See the movie, tell us why you don't like it like others have in this thread. Otherwise shut the fuck up please

Yeah. But here's the difference: I pay attention to the facts. I admit when they suck; when they are under poor leadership/coaching and have bad players. I probably won't even watch their last two games because I'd rather they lose for a good draft pick in April. I am actually a SW fan, also. These movies suck.

And I'm not going to keep re-watching horrible games from this season, fawning over how great their few touchdowns were.

It doesn’t matter who you come from.

It matters who you become.
