Aren't you a Dolphins fan?
Yeah. But here's the difference: I pay attention to the facts. I admit when they suck; when they are under poor leadership/coaching and have bad players. I probably won't even watch their last two games because I'd rather they lose for a good draft pick in April. I am actually a SW fan, also. These movies suck.
Dude you are so much better and wiser than us! Congrats.

I'm just confused. Some of you seem to be desperately lying to yourselves because you need SW to be good. Just call it what it is and move on to better things. MD basically said it was disappointing but is paying good money to go back to the theater and see it again... just baffling.

Go fuck yourself. You don't get to tell people what they like and why. You aren't baffled, you're just an asshole.

I'm not telling them what they like and don't like. MD said he has mixed feelings on it. I'm saying that sometimes people need something to be good. This seems like one of those times, from the evidence before me. I used to be like this. I know this mindset. I'd hear a Pearl Jam album for the first time, like, say, Lightning Bolt, dislike it, but then keep listening and convincing myself it's great because I loved Pearl Jam. It's weird.

What I do now and am much happier for it is say "that sucks and isn't worth my time" and move on to Billie Eilish or the National or Tim Heidecker comedy or OUATIH and life's good

SW is more important and entertaining than every sporting event in history, combined.

Can we talk about how painfully forced the Leia scenes were? Like awkward and with terrible timing?

I'm fascinated though. You guys don't have to torture yourselves and waste your money. It's like Disney has you all brainwashed.

I was pretty impressed with how well those works given the real world circumstances.

Reading through this thread now that I've seen it and the thing that shocks me the lost about people's reactions is:
Spoiler: show
Chewbacca getting the medal. I wept openly. The crowd I saw it with cheered. I thought it was beautiful. I told my wife after the movie, "I fully expect the internet to be full off 'that movie was a piece of shit but Chewie finally getting tha medal makes it bearable!'" .

Like typing right now and thinking about it again, I'm getting misty eyed. I fucking loved that moment so much. I really thought it would be like the ONE unifying thing about the movie.

I didn't hate it, but it was clearly fan service. And I just heard that in Canon he actually already had gotten the medal in a comic or book. So it doesn't even make sense
