Are we sure Cold Concession became Pendulum? This could be big news, team.

i think at this point if you're still a fan you probably do.

The vast majority of MUSIC fans don't give a crap about anything written after 1994, if that.

i wasn't a big fan of matt's writing until backspacer, but I think he writes interesting songs that just don't often play to what I see as the band's strengths.
I totally get that. For me, they just hit that sweet spot of being interesting and still melodically pleasing. Not that these qualities are necessarily opposites.

That's a separate argument.

We were discussing his songwriting. I believe it was you who claimed he was the best in the band. I said he's the worst. PJ fans as whole would most likely agree with me.
But clearly the 'majority' opinion isn't always right, by your own admission, so it's not evidence for anything. It's a separate argument that doesn't suit you because you can't squirm out of the contradiction.

I'm not sure how reliable or fast I'll be but I've got the Pit thread open on another tab.

I think it would depend on how one would define a PJ fan.

Basically, I think my point is that trying to insert "this is what all PJ fans think" into your argument is pretty useless.

Wow, this is news to me. Because on the very first day of my 5-year-old's drum lessons, he learned whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, and eighth notes. And his teacher, who drummed for Buddy Guy for 20 years, knows a thing or two about drumming.

Interesting reveal from the Q+A - the band were rarely in the studio at the same time, often communicating via Skype. Stone Gossard and Eddie Vedder have not actually being in the same room (bar shows) since 1998.

Here, I'll start.

"Swallowed Hole" will actually contain the phrase, "swallowed whole in negatives."
