These movies suck.Monkey_Driven wrote:Aren't you a Dolphins fan?tree_ wrote:I'm just blown away by how much attention these movies get at all, and how much you guys care about them. I wonder what the “mind melting” set was that Kevin Smith saw.

Could be all the ships arriving, Rey destroying the sith, or Kylo saving Rey, only to die himself... too many to choose from.blueviper wrote:I wonder what the “mind melting” set was that Kevin Smith saw.
If that is the case it wasn’t that mind melting.

From what he described , I thought it was a set on a soundstage. Maybe Palpatine thrown or clone tanks.

When she says her name is Rey Skywalker, I actually cried. That was by far the best scene of the movie.Mecca wrote:Guys, that final shot on Tatooine with that score is the most perfect thing ever and needs to be mentioned more

Shout out to my wife, who is not a Star-Wars-phile, for leaning over to me halfway through the movie and saying, "Is Leia a Jedi? Where's her lightsaber?"

Possibly First Order ships, or some early ships that had gotten out, like the one that destroyed a planet. The ships leaving Exogol were the Final Order.

In a weird way they are, right? Didn't Palpatine impregnate Anakin's mother through the force or some shit? So in a way he's like Anakin's dad, making him also Kylo Ren's great-grandfather? And Rey would be some sort of aunt to Kylo?Simple Torture wrote:It actually would have made more since if they had ended up being related this whole time.

There's no Palpatine DNA in Anakin. Though technically unconfirmed it is strongly implied that Palpatine manipulated the midichlorians to create Anakin.theplatypus wrote:In a weird way they are, right? Kevin didn't see it. He was told not to look because it would melt his mind. JJ has since said Kevin should have seen it because "he could've handled it."blueviper wrote:I wonder what the “mind melting” set was that Kevin Smith saw.

I loved this movie despite all the reasonable flaws pointed out. I think the last Jedi is a better film and story but this movie just hit that emotional spirit of adventure.

Totally agree. I love the old school adventure aspect of this movie. I think I could've handled even more of it.Strat wrote:I loved this movie despite all the reasonable flaws pointed out. I think the last Jedi is a better film and story but this movie just hit that emotional spirit of adventure.
