Only two.
I went a third time on no sleep and many beers and passed out minutes in.
Doesn’t count
So third time tonight.

like, I kinda know what you were trying to say but the way you said it is wild.wease wrote:Those that read books that authors spent many hours researching to determine that he did not have multiple movies planned out at the onset. It isn't about him getting the medal literally to me. That's not the emotional resonance.Anders wrote:I think the scene could have been better. I know there’s been some talk of him not getting a medal on-screen in the OT, but the way the scene was presented in TROS, just felt incomplete. Besides, like Dime said, in canon (comic) he already received a medal in the OT.durdencommatyler wrote:Even dime hated Chewie getting the medal???!!!
Wow...
whatever I don't even care
I certainly don't think he was going to tell her he was force sensitive. I said "interesting" earlier because I hadn't considered that and it's an interesting take. I'm with you on this though.Anders wrote:For him being force sensitive it is. What he was going to tell Rey I don’t know. My guess is that he loves her. I thought that was what he wouldn’t say. It’s not uncommon for something like that to remain a secret between friends.BurtReynolds wrote:Anders wrote:You don’t have to say, when you show.BurtReynolds wrote:where did he say he was force sensitive? I always thought Rose was way more into him than he was into her, even in TLJ. I think it makes total sense that they aren't together in TROS. I also really love the juxtaposition between them, the way she is able to not only show him but to tell him that she loves him. However, Finn is unable to do the same (for Rey). I think that's really cool parallelling and tells us a lot about each of their respective characters.Anders wrote:They did seem to have a connection in TLJ, maybe even a brief romance. But clearly not in TROS.

I thought FOR SURE Ben would be there. I was kinda surprised that he wasn't. Anakin probably could have been, too and I'd have been fine with it. But since Rey herself has no connection to him, I'm okay with him being absent. Ben though...?darth_vedder wrote:Anyone else think Ben and Anakin should have joined Luke and Leia at the end?

It’s gold. Actually.
What was the meaning behind that? It looked good.dimejinky99 wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:SUPER fucking cool. One of things that made me cheer.darth_vedder wrote:So, is it just me or did anyone else think the yellow lightsaber was cool?

Yes, with everything that happened it would have been logical, but I think they didn't want it to be controversial, with a former villain there at the end.durdencommatyler wrote:I thought FOR SURE Ben would be there. Maybe we'll get a Special Edition one day.
