I'm with you here. Doc and I had this conversation the other night. I like the idea of all existing songs having a chance to make an appearance on the setlist. Plus, I haven't liked anything after Binaural anyway. I don't care about new material

But i want the new album. Unless i knew for sure i would get to see/hear undone, black red yellow, dirty frank and a few other songs i might never get to see otherwise

I wouldn't mind if everything before Vitalogy and after Binaural was skipped (except for Oceans, dammit I need to hear that one live even if Ed cannot pull it off anymore), but I don't want to get overly excited. They have done some decidedly un-epic "epic shows" over the last few years.

the problem w/ "epic shows" is that they kinda have a blueprint now. people pretty much expect what they are going to hear in an encore of an "epic show".

i think the most "epic" thing they've done since probably 2005 is playing a song w/ jay z. and not just b/c i was there, b/c it was awesome and unexpected.
