Guys for those who saw it 10 times...
Is palps a clone from the original or he is the original guy? I thought he was the original but a lot of people are saying he was a clone.

My take away is that he is the original.VinylGuy wrote:Guys for those who saw it 10 times...

But I could be swayed by any real evidence to the contrary.

My vote is for clone. «I’ve been dead before». The dark side uses mysterious ways, like cloning.

Wasnt snoke cut in half when we see him at the beginning? Maybe it was his remains and they are able to repair/bring back to life as appose to cloning

I think that line is referencing Return of the Jedi. Could be wrong but that's how I took it.Anders wrote:My vote is for clone. «I’ve been dead before». The dark side uses mysterious ways, like cloning.

Yeah, there were a couple of Snokes in that vat. It also looked to me like the damage to his face/skull was different on each one, which I thought was interesting. But I may have seen that wrong.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:Wasnt snoke cut in half when we see him at the beginning? I wasn't sure the first time I saw it but last night I definitely saw several of them in there. Not sure how many exactly but there are at least two visible heads.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:Yeah, there were a couple of Snokes in that vat. He was less a being and more a sith spirit. He said something like “they all live in me now” along with him sucking the force powers from the balance of force which was Ben and Rey ... that was probably the final piece for him to actually resurrect.

So yes I do believe that palps did die in Jedi. But his dabbling in the dark side and eternal life ... whatever he did ... his evil spirit kind of lived on.

I think this is right.Strat wrote:He was less a being and more a sith spirit. He said something like “they all live in me now” along with him sucking the force powers from the balance of force which was Ben and Rey ... that was probably the final piece for him to actually resurrect.
It's fascinating how in expanded canon we've seen Sith possess objects (like masks, for example). And here Palpatine, the most powerful Sith ever maybe, has not only figured out how to cheat death (something that he's wanted to master since we've know him) but also how to possess a PERSON instead of just an object.
That's so powerful and closes the circle on something introduced a long time ago. I love that.
I also love how Padme disrupts his plans in the PT and causes him to change course and Leia does the same in TROS. Super rad. Watching someone who is ten steps ahead adjust and improvise in the moment is really cool. It feels like a metaphor for all of Star Wars -- the jazz of it all.

Joseph Scrimshaw had a mini-thread on Twitter about Star Wars. It's a quick read and wonderful. But this is the piece that really stood out and resonated with me personally:

You have no evidence, either way, I simply present it as an interesting possibility. It is from Reddit and Reddit had the entire movie shot for shot 2 months ago, so while not Entertainment Tonight, some people do have some credibility there.dimejinky99 wrote:That’s from Reddit.

I can't take credit. Ruddo called it after the first or second Mandalorian episode. I thought it was a brilliant concept. Looks even more likely now knowing what we know.durdencommatyler wrote:wease wrote:Baby Yoda clones.durdencommatyler wrote:I wasn't sure the first time I saw it but last night I definitely saw several of them in there. I don't know why or who would record an actual pitch meeting for this movie .. but this is very informative
