A few years ago, my wife was gifted a cut of prime rib from the restaurant she was working at. We cooked it on Christmas Eve and an annual tradition was born. We do it right, with horseradish cream, potato mashers, whiskey, then a walk around the neighborhood with hot chocolate. Gonna be interesting seeing if we can time this right with an infant this year.

$100 that the cut of beef that most people have that they like to call “prime” rib is actually choice or select.

I was more talking about the catch-all phrase “prime rib” that most people (not here) use. It can only be “prime rib” if it’s actually prime.

My sister and her husband made an amazing grilled steak taco spread for dinner last night. I have a lot to live up to hosting Xmas next year.

Got some mango habanero chicken wings from the bar down the way. Took them home and roasted up some cauliflower and brussels sprouts seasoned with olive oil, cayenne pepper, and some mccormick's monteal steak seasoning. Pairs well together.
