The SbM thing has turned more funny than annoying, what with the ( so far ) unanimous disdain.

I'll wait to hear it to be properly annoyed. You just know whatever they bumped for it was the best song from the session or something.

It's slightly frustrating that a lot of people hate it but nobody can articulate why so far. "Because it's on Uke Songs and something better could've replaced it" isn't really a great review of what it actually sounds like.

If you look at it one way, the "Uke" version could technically be the demo that Ed brought to the band

I'm sure it's been mentioned but the full band Setting Forth and Can' Keep versions are superior to the Ed solo versions. I am not sold on this sucking.*

It's as likely as anything. In my mind, Ed writes plenty of songs on uke. Uke Songs is a bunch of song sketches the fans asked him to release, he wasn't going to initially.

I said it several times already and now it's essentially confirmed about SBM - what a waste of precious real estate. Would kill for a song we've never heard before instead. It just makes zero fucking sense.

I think the compromise they made here was to make the album 12 songs instead of the 11 we got on BS. I see this as BoB and only BoB overpowering the band on this one. He certainly came out right on Betterman, we'll see here.

Id say that is the most likely case, not kicking another song off and replacing it with sbm, the just added it to what was gonna be an 11 track album
