Director Jon Chu Tweeted out his interest in bringing a Rose Tico series to Disney +. I'm 100% in favor of this. But what I really found interesting was a comment on that tweet that reminded about how excited Kelly Marie Tran was her scenes with Rey after watching the cast screening (prior to the official release).

I know JJ has always said he doesn't believe in Director's Cuts. But I hope we get to see these scenes on the Blu Ray release. I'd be very curious to see what they're like.

I also look forward to the deleted scenes. Maybe one with Finn and Rey.

WHY DID THE EMPEROR CHANGE PLANS MID-CLIMAX?
He discovered something new that he didn't know before and exploited it. Just like he's always done.

WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED WITH REY AND KYLO REN AT THE END?
Rey used her entire life-force defeating the Emperor. This is set up twice earlier: when she heals the cave snake thing and when she heals Kylo on the Death Star wreckage. The effort exerted to kill Palps took all she had. She died. Kylo survived the fall when the Emperor pushed him. He climbed up and used his life-force to "heal" Rey (or bring her back; however you want to look at it) but the cost of doing so, the effort involved, just like with Rey a minute ago, drained his life-force and he became one with the Force. It's all basically what Luke did at the end of TLJ.

WHO WAS CREWING THE EMPEROR’S MASSIVE FLEET?
Imperial loyalists and First Order officers alike. Keep in mind that Richard E. Grant's character's rank/title is *Allegiant* General.

WHAT EXACTLY IS A DYAD, AND HOW ARE KYLO AND REY LINKED?
Not sure what kind of further explanation this question begs. Though we don't know the full ins and outs and spectrum of a Force Dyad we get the jist: two users powerfully linked in the Force. It's incredibly rare and hasn't happened in thousands of years. How are they linked? The answer is through The Force. Though, I imagine that's not satisfying to some, I don't know what further answer is required. "Darkness rises and light to meet it" "Powerful light, powerful dark."

WHY IS C-3PO PROGRAMMED TO UNDERSTAND SITH RUNES?
He's a protocol droid. He's fluent in six million forms of communication. To me the more interesting "question" or thing to explore here is why is he banned from translating it. There could be a cool story there.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE HAN SOLO WHO APPEARS TO KYLO?
A memory -- specifically, Ben/Kylo's memory. This is flat out stated and shouldn't be a question on this list at all.

ARE THERE ANY RULES FOR FORCE GHOSTS AT ALL?
This is a fine/valid question but I'm not sure it's relevant. The sub-question in the article is "Why did dead Darth Vader turn up as a Force ghost as young Anakin Skywalker, but dead Luke and Leia still look like Old Luke and Leia?" and this has been explained though not in the films. So fair enough.

But this is also just one of the questions in that article that feels like a 'who gives a shit' question. They are world building questions. Questions that may not have explicit answers right now (though I'm sure many will eventually) but are designed to inspire wonder and thought and discussion. One podcaster I listen to calls it "tip of the iceberg storytelling" and I think that's a great way to put it. It's like walking out of A New Hope in 77 saying "Wait, but what exactly were The Clone Wars? They just never bothered to even try to explain that."

Who did Kylo kill in the opening (people protecting the Wayfinder and/or natives of that planet), how can TIE-fighters follow the Falcon in hyperspace (the article actually explains this in it's discussion of the question oddly enough), Chewie's second transport (they just didn't show it but it's not ludicrous to imagine there was more than one), Sith gone for good (they are until they aren't; yes for now; I'm sure somewhere down the line someone will revive the Sith and try again, that's the nature of the eternal battle between good and evil), Knights of Ren (the ones we see are gone for good but that doesn't mean there aren't more; I look forward to wondering and speculating about them for a while and getting ancillary material later to fill in the gaps)... all of these are questions that allow us to speculate. We can come up with valid and plausible answers to all of these questions. They are fun to ask and think about but don't require explicit answers, in my opinion.

It's a cool evolution of tech. It's kinda fun to go back to the PT where ships need those ring things and a droid to reach hyperspace all the way to now where it seems to come standard.

I understand that it's perhaps not sufficiently explained in the movie -- and I'd have liked more details, too -- but I think I'm coming down on the side that those "Sith Followers" in the finale were real and not ghosts or imaginary. I think as the EU fills in the gaps we'll discover that those followers were a big part of how/why Palpatine was able to come back.

Also, I'm reading that part of being a Force Dyad means you share Force powers. This makes a lot of sense and helps to flesh out why Kylo can Force Heal Rey at the end. Because she has the power then so does he. He doesn't have to learn it.

No idea if that's an official canon explanation or where exactly who the source of that idea is but I like it and I'll keep it as head canon until told otherwise.
