Both have a lot to like. The Clone Wars is darker and goes to some insane places. It's pure Lucas. He had a lot of involvement in that show, especially where it comes to the Living Force & the Cosmic Force.

Rebels is also great but took me a bit to really get into. It's a little more "kid's show" and I like the animation style of TCW more.

But both have great characters and juicy storylines. Rebels is easier to digest, especially in the beginning.

One of the few things I liked:
Spoiler: show
Rey using the force connection to hand Kylo a lightsaber

Kylo’s Solo-like shrug afterwords was cool too. Driver was a beast in this trilogy.

He really was. The "no-look" shooting, the shrug, and the "ouch" were all channeling Han. I fucking loved that stuff. Such a nice touch.

I really enjoyed...
Spoiler: show
When you first see the Death Star. Holy shit, that was a great shot.
It was really interesting how Rey used the dagger to align points on the DS to figure out the location of the tracker. Very reminiscent of Goonies when Mikey holds up the medallion and aligns it with the rocks to find the location of one-eyed Willie's treasure. I know. I know...completely different movies. Same idea to me. Thought it was interesting.

Also couldn't stand the scarf on Poe.

This was terrific. I also want to call out some other awesome visuals, as well as little things that irked me:
Spoiler: show
Cool visuals
1. The storm troopers launching off the back of the speeder bikes in the desert chase.
2. Zorii Bliss's character design (is she in any of the expanded universe stuff?)
3. Some of those wide shots of Palps hooked up to his huge life support apparatus looked awesome

Things that irked me
1. Poe's stupid fucking scarf. Is there an Urban Outfitters on Kijimi?
2. Dominic fucking Monaghan. Every shot he was in took me right out of the movie.

Agree. What is different between this trilogy and the OT is how they integrate Rebels / Resistance players in with the main characters.

in the OT, the Rebel generals, pilots, etc that had tiny speaking roles were totally background and to service the story. In the ST, it seems like they try to have them as actual characters and it feels off and doesn’t work.

Monaghan is a clear example of "Hey JJ, can I be in your movie???"

He's totally fine (and I like him a lot) but in this particular movie (final in the trilogy) he was completely unnecessary. Any number of known characters could have had his lines and done what he did in service of the story.
