I wonder if Burt is questioning his appraisal of Joker, with her being so critical of it.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
I particularly liked her point about how dumb the whole Tatooine/Skywalker thing was.
Why say she is a Skywalker? She only knew Luke mostly as an old coward living on an island, where she left him to die. And Leia had no emotional connection to the Skywalker name, except maybe to hate it. Kinda seems like an insult to her if nothing else. She's ashamed of being a Palpatine? After her parents sacrificed themselves to "save her" (selling her for space tequila to a monster on a terrible desert planet)? Seems like kind of a dick move that way, too.
And going to Tatooine to bury some lightsabers? Why? Luke hated that place, and it was a dump full of starving people and slaves.

And Finn's supposed force powers did drop the ball with that whole Chewbacca thing lol. I wonder if Rey felt bad about killing whoever was actually on that ship.

They were all slaves stolen from their families and brainwashed to serve the First Order as mindless killing machines. So no.BurtReynolds wrote:I wonder if Rey felt bad about killing whoever was actually on that ship.

Ill copy and paste all the things i liked about, straight from my initial review just in order to continue talking about the movie.
I liked:
- Palps...i loved him. I love how JJ shows him..those flashes in his face..great.
- Harrison Ford...best scene in the movie?
- JJ did wonders with Leia in this one, specially with Carrie being dead. Great work.
- Finally 3PO was used! i missed him.
- Everything in the sith temple is pretty cool
-They didnt killed Chewie or 3PO or R2.
-I loved that Kylo is dead.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
I was just kidding.
Every post since release makes real the idea that people will go on about something far far longer if they don’t like something or aren’t happy with something than if they do.
The ratio of like to dislike posts on here alone is really something

Everyone I’ve talked to about the movie has loved it. Different ages from 10 to 71, both men and women. Also big smiles around the room both times in the cinema.

I listened to the Kevin Smith podcast. They felt that C3PO’s memory being restored back to the end of The Force Awakens, was a shot at The Last Jedi.

Also, none of the new smaller-part characters have interested me at all, but I loved Babu Frik.
