yeah, i havent watched the whole video, but she raises some good points specially in the storytelling and pace of the movie.

I havent thought on how stupid was that flashback of rey´s mom until she pointed out

What would have done:

- Get Luke´s return in TFA, with Han coming for him. Luke is with Rey when Kylo kill Han. At the end of that movie he decides to train Rey in the island.

- In TLJ we discover about Rey´s linage and Palps return...maybe at the end of the movie (it also mirros Empire! Poetry). Give more insight to how Palps return.

- ROS is about Rey´s trying not to fall for the dark side. And about Kylo finally coming to light. Rey kills the emperor and become the baddie and Ben reedems himself when he kills her and brings back Rey. (Also mirros ROTJ). The end of the movie is Rey alone, not in tattoine but in the Jedi Island with Luke trying to setup a new academy.

Yes, this would make the whole trilogy a lot better. I'd still gripe about the return of Palpatine but in this instance they make it sounds like it wasn't tacked on.

Still think it was a mistake that we didn't see a flourishing jedi academy with Luke Skywalker.

Han Luke and leia *still* running around th galaxy on hijinx adventures would see you exactly here complaining about why are there old people ruining Star Wars? They could have so easily brought in a new set of characters.

I like this girl a lot, and she makes a lot of really good points here, especially about the climax of the film and how deeply stupid a storytelling choice it is to have Rey be a Palpatine.

I need to stop thinking about this movie

If I wrote a screenplay, I'd want to run it by her first to see if it sucked. Few seem to understand that things need to be properly set up first and paid off later. Yet the most highly paid people in Hollywood do not understand this.

I guess I'm still bitterly disappointed about the other 2 Star Wars stories not being in the same vein as Rogue One. Maybe I can watch them at home at some point, but wouldn't go to the cinema for them. I could probably pick plenty of faults in the trilogy (well probably all 9 films), but any fault I find in them just feels insignificant to wasting 2 films on fictional biopics. Whatever the pros and cons, and whatever Disney, Abrams and Johnson got wrong, they got off their arses and made the films. Considering no-one else was prepared to do that, I have to give them their due for that.

Considering that she didn’t like Joker, or seem too pleased with Endgame, perhaps Hollywood knows better after all?

I'm under no delusions that Endgame is a great movie, but I enjoyed it as a comic book nerd.
