Re: Does anyone care about the economy?
ok buner.
let's assume I had a shitty econ 101 and 201 professor (because I did) and that also both of those classes were taken in 2005. Maybe 2004, I'd have to look at my grades.

I wasn’t trying to be a dick, it’s actually not a simple question, but one we have all wondered. I’ll give ‘doks a day or so then try to answer but maybe googling quantitative easing might helpbune wrote:ok buner.

Re: Does anyone care about the economy?
That's fair. I've been thinking about it overnight and trying to come up with what my actual complaint/question is. In-between work assignments I'm going to piece a larger post together.

Re: Does anyone care about the economy?
Sounds good. I just wasn’t sure if it was a question about government spending or the nature of money or something else. Figured I didn’t want to waste time writing a long post about the wrong thing.bune wrote:That's fair. These kinds of stories felt most real and urgent and indelible to me this past decade, a decade without a single month of recession, when the United States grew to its wealthiest point ever—and when the middle class shrank, longevity fell, and it became clear that a whole generation was falling behind. The central economic dynamic of the 2010s was that no matter how well the market was doing, no matter how long the expansion lasted, no matter how much the economy grew, families still struggled. It was a decade that strained America’s idea of what economic growth could do, and should do, because it did so little for so many.

It’s not about the quality of the argument, but whether or not the author took the effort to functionally communicate it

seems like educational credentials are the key to not falling ‘off track’ on the employment train
there needs to be better facilities for people to get an education (without impoverishing themselves with loans) so that they can get back ‘on-track’ if they never went to college or dropped out of college
