Dips, Spreads, Toppings, etc. (not salsa)

Post by Bammer »

This thread is dedicated to things that go with chips, crackers, and/or veggies. Or desserts I guess.

A good hummus is hard to beat.

A good baked brie is even harder to beat.

Got some Truffle Dip from Trader Joe’s right now that is real nice with a carrot.

My sister made cookies on Xmas and we dipped them in what she called “crack sauce” which was whipped cream with something else in it, didn’t ask, but ate about a half gallon of it.

I'm an old fashioned girl, I like Onion dip with my chops and hummus with my naan. Is your sister willing to give up the recipe to her crack sauce? I'm intrigued.

A grocery shopping must have for us has been Murray's Bacon Chive Jarlsberg Dip. There a couple variations of this dip - but the bacon and chive one is the best.

I'm like you, almost. I like onion dip with my chips, though. Never had it with chops. ;)

Not at all. Round up the ingredients and power up the food processor.

Hummus is easy. Just drain the canned chickpeas as well as you can.

Once you realize how simple hummus is to make, you'll feel like a fool for ever buying the overpriced stuff in the store.

Yes. I never buy it. Always make it.

I’ll have to try this. I like throwing in roasted baby carrots to mine.
