2020 20/20 Challenge - 20 books and 20 movies Redux!

Post by bune »

Like the 50/50 thread this is about movies and books. Unlike the 50/50 thread this is only about movies and books, and even then about media you've already consumed. This does not count towards that other thread so if you want to do this one instead - I mean, it's way shorter after all - then here's the spot.

If you want to do this as well? Hey glutton, here's your punishment.

Rules (actual rule for this one): You can choose nothing in the last decade. If you've watched/read it in the last ten years then don't count it here. I could probably keep the theme going and say 20 years but I'm pretty sure there are some people who would balk at being stuck with the same things as their teenage self.

Tracking code:

Code: Select all

01/20 Books
[list]sdfsdf
sdfsdf[/list]

01/20 Movies
[list]sdfsdf
sdfsdf[/list]
just copy/paste the list code there and make sure BBCode is enabled and it'll count them for you.

Discussion is encouraged since this is about what you've already experienced. Maybe it's been 20 years since you've read Westing Game and you've grown up. What's different now?

Have at it.

If you rewatch a movie it'd be easier to just have a redux section in your posts in the other thread.

A lot of people are saying to me, "Fifty's too much, it's too much for me. Something smaller would be easier."

01/20 Books
  • sdf
01/20 Movies
  • Ocean's Eleven (2001)
Just finished the movie. I have thoughts but I wanted to make this so I wouldn't forget to expand on it later.

I loved how effortless the movie looked, from the acting to the directing. The little detail about "the EMP must have burned out his ear piece" that would have been a throwaway expository line in almost every other movie but feels like actual dialogue in this one. I love how Rusty was talking to Benedict on the phone and then like 30 seconds later is talking to him again on the walkie talkies and he doesn't notice.

Brad Pitt eating everything in sight.

bune, just put this in the 50/50 thread, and quit torturing us with this concept that we don't understand.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
