Solemani(SP?) started the Iranian equivalent of the National Parks System? He charged up (Lebanon or Syrian equivalent to) San Juan Hill in a declared war as a uniformed combatant?
Was Teddy Roosevelt involved in some regional militias in Canada, Mexico, and further afield that were involved in terrorist activities?
I wouldn't be surprised if T.R. bombed an Argentinian Jewish cultural center. He would probably have done that. But he wouldn't be a bitch and claim plausible deniability. He'd claim it loud and proud.

Well, I'm seeing a lot of the same idiots from 17 years ago once again telling us how everything from here on out should go swimmingly, so I feel better already.
A catastrophic mistake. I might keep my kids home tomorrow
edit: to be clear, its a good thing he was removed from earth, but Trump's perceived illegitimacy and general ignorance makes this an extremely dangerous move.
"The fatal flaw of all revolutionaries is that they know how to tear things down but don't have a f**king clue about how to build anything."
(Reuters) - After days of protests across Iran last month, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei appeared impatient. Gathering his top security and government officials together, he issued an order: Do whatever it takes to stop them.
That order, confirmed by three sources close to the supreme leader’s inner circle and a fourth official, set in motion the bloodiest crackdown on protesters since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
About 1,500 people were killed during less than two weeks of unrest that started on Nov. 15. The toll, provided to Reuters by three Iranian interior ministry officials, included at least 17 teenagers and about 400 women as well as some members of the security forces and police.

It's a great re-election strategy. Kill a Iranian general who deserved nothing less than death. And have the democratic party defend Iran. Welcome to the 2020 elections!
Ah, yes. The “you either support every decision the administration makes in the region, or you support the terrorists” game. Welcome back to 2002. Have some freedom fries.

Plus he can capitalize on the smug faces of the leftist media when the sleeper cells start moving

Best enjoyed with a side of the collective delusion that we'll be welcomed as liberators. Vintage stuff over here.

I kind of laugh that they break out women as a distinct group of those killed. Is it worse that a female protester was killed versus a male protester? And why are women so underrepresented? Is their a bullet ceiling to dying for democracy?
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.
Sure glad we have a well read, real stable genius with all the smarts and geopolitical/military experience and foresight and rationality and listens to his advisors.

The only talking point from war hungry neocons that has any traction is that this is retaliation for the embassy being swarmed, which, assuming you could prove a direct line to Iran, isn't completely without merit, but people are kidding themselves if they think this is about an embassy.
