so let me get this straight. some italian pearl jam website publishes an article that says that there may be an album announcement for what may be a march release to precede what may be a north american tour, but cites no sources. some disc jockey in philly comes along and supposedly tells someone that there will be an album announcement this friday with the release of a single and that person posts on the band's official message board, but the italian pearl jam website that originally published the first article does no follow up?

am i being too cynical?

Yes. its been rumored for awhile now from various groups. Considering they announced a euro tour, obviously something is happening.
