You're a lucky man.
This is a tough one...I'm happy with some of the songs. Not all of them. SBM ofcourse. This is a really really terrible version. I had this feeling it was done by some backroom coverband. I'm sorry, but I really do not like it. Staying power, yes. I think it has. I don't have a clue what you mean with retracking it.

I need some sleep now. Not by myself. Happily married ;-)

It doesn't. It really is a fifties kind of track. Backbeat, handclapping...The song even starts with a reference to Elvis in the beginning of the lyrcis.
Super. There's a chance I might like it then. Kind of Eddie Cochran / Leavin' Here vibe maybe?
so comeback but wit-a-backbeat? :?
Na, Come Back wasn't a fun rock 'n roll song with hand claps. That was a slow dance prom ballad.

I can't remember which reviewer it was, but one of them said it was pretty much the same except for drums. They didn't hate it but not much had changed. It's hard to hate that, really. The most worrying review of the song so far was this one: "terrible version".
yeah, they aren't so much hating the song (who could? it's a great song) as they are its placement and existence at all on the record. it sounds like it was a pointless inclusion just as some had already speculated and it also sounds like it disrupts the flow on the record. if we missed out on another song being included instead because of bo'b that'd be disappointing.

I think that at the very least, this album will be eclectic, with lots to chew on. It will feel like a stylistic mess, probably, but that could be very cool.

If I can paraphrase bo'b from the interview today: "Off the earth? It's not gonna happen...Or well...it didn't happen now...but it might happen. I don't know"

Thanks man. Nice work and glad you had a good night. I'm not too excited with SBM anyway. Hope the others are as you described because that's what I would like to hear.

And retracking = dropping tracks to have a listenable playlist. Stupid question really.

Sleep tight (and be prepared for a shitpile of more questions when you awake).

Does it seem terrible or pointless because it's like an unremarkable copy? Or because it's totally different and he's stuck moo cows and a tractor all over it? Is it wildly 'fixed'?

Not a return to any previous form but hopefully a suitable evolution. While they want to be a bloody pop band I'm having to review my hopes. If the themes are consistent, the eclecticism could work.

Edit: it's a reaaaal possibilityyy..

thanks for the reviews frank!

father's son and infallable seem intriguing. i dont mind the idea of a 50's pop rock song, i just hope it doesnt remind me of backspacer.
