Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
This one is has bags n bags of rewatchability
Way more than TLJ.
I do believe tlj will come in time to be seen by most as the best one. It’s the most challenging and in its way the most frustrating but satisfying.
But this one just has all the Star Wars fun and a perfect desert compliment to TLJs heavier course.
In a year or three this will all land for everyone I’d think.

I said last year -- and I stand by it -- that TLJ will be remembered as the most important/crucial SW film. But I'm totally fine with the idea that RoS will be the most fun/rewatchable.

Well.. they go to Harry Potter town. Kijimi? Whole place looks like diagon alley. It’s even snowing.
But then later Palpatine draining their life force is almost directly Harry Potter / death eaters. And Rey facing him down is Potter v Voldemort.
Even the effect are too similar
It just irked me. And continues to

If they took out the whole code breaker mission, the story doesn’t change aside from the First Order knowing to scan for the escape vessels, and it would be perfectdurdencommatyler wrote:I said last year -- and I stand by it -- that TLJ will be remembered as the most important/crucial SW film. As platy just pointed out failure is one of the main themes of TLJ. Their mission fails on several levels. So it fits even if it’s slightly annoying

Of all movies in history. It just edged out Citizen Kane, The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz and Metropolis.blueviper wrote:remembered as the most important/crucial SW film of all the movies, or just the ST?durdencommatyler wrote:I said last year -- and I stand by it -- that TLJ will be remembered as the most important/crucialSWfilm. This movie (TROS) is 84 milion behind TLJ after 20 days domestically. Will be interesting to see how it does this weekend. TLJ really slowed down after 24 days.
