That said, they could all be completly wrong.

Indeed, and they often clash these strange styles together on live sets. My dad thought that the set was a weird mess of styles when he first saw PJ live. He likes the Ten stuff.LetMeSleep wrote:If you only heard TMWay and You Are, that would sound very diverse. But your point is solid, Harmless.

I think we're just not agreeing on what eclectic is, hence the comparisons. But hey, no matterelliseamos wrote:why do we need to compare pj to anybody else? i certainly didn't invite it. my point was that if they have actually gotten back to an eclectic album (by their own standards), then i'll contact my doctor about my priapism.warehouse wrote:u guys are gonna kill me, but dave matthews band's latest album is very eclectic. there's a couple of prog rock songs, gospel inspired stuff, the usual blend of pop, blues and jazz, and a 9 minute long monster of a song at the end thats like 3 different songs in one. but dmb wrote 'satellite' so everyone overlooks them. they've always been more eclectic than pearl jam though.Iowaska_Experience wrote:Beastie Boysharmless wrote:Maybe. None of the lyrics sound that bad imo. None as bad as 'Supersonic gonna take my soul, I caught a rabbit but my cock was full yeah.'

i think we can all agree, for a rock band, pearl jam can be very diverse/eclectic. ten and backspacer probably represent this the least. but even vs has stuff like go and blood with elderly woman. vitalogy is kinda all over the place, same w/ no code.
