Mine didn't move until 1/2, so it only took 8 days to get here. In theory, it's not as bad as regular ol' media mail once it gets out the door.

I had mine shipped to my parents house bc there was the possibility this could have shipped in the midst of us moving, and I didn’t have a new address yet. So I won’t get it until next Christmas.Simple Torture wrote:Mine didn't move until 1/2, so it only took 8 days to get here. God. I just listened again. Awful show. It’s amazing that early pj gets a pass for butchering the shit out of songs.

Re: Vault #9: Seattle 12-8-1993
finally got around to listening to this tonight.
well, that 'i've got a feeling' was pretty nice...
this is the second inessential vault release in a row. a far more interesting performance at least than missoula 05, but as others have noted the band aren't that great on this night and there's already a vault from just a week or so prior. i don't hate it, but this was disappointing.

It wouldn't be a problem if they released more vault shows more frequently. But to wait months and months for such a half-ass performance was a slap in the face. I'd be curious to know who picked this show and why.Strat wrote:God. I just listened again. Awful show. It’s amazing that early pj gets a pass for butchering the shit out of songs.

What was the rationale for this show when they've already released a much better performance from one week earlier on the same tour?
What was the rationale for releasing the 2005 Missoula show when that whole tour was already released and the performance is (again) pretty terrible?
We're now at nine Vault releases without a single show from the No Code tour yet multiple from other tours.
My uncharitable suspicion is that for 10C (and the worst elements of the fanbase), it's simply a case of churning out ever more collectable vinyl with only the barest level of interest devoted to the actual content.

I think your hatred for the love of vinyl collecting is clouding your judgement here. I doubt that is there sole criteria
From what I gather this was spearheaded by “the rob”. His comments introducing the show alluded to the fact he’s been pushing for this shows release for a long time. Why? Because he was there as he was in the room and it was just .... THE BEST SHOW EVER AND THE BAND WAS PURE FIRE AND THE ENERGY IN THE ROOM blah blah!!’

I doubt that they're having Justice League-level roundtables over these releases. This "the rob" fella is probably fortunate to even get a thumbs-up emoji response from an actual band member when these things are brought up.
Having said that, more Jack Irons-era releases would be appreciated.

We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…
