friend's wife works at spotify, has heard the new single and its name is...
DANCE OF CLAIRVOYANCE.
i know i'm just some random internet person but i trust my friend. here's to new music!!
Update: I’ve still not heard it myself but hearing that drop date is Jan 24
Update 2: it’s a lower tempo song. A very present synth throughout. Dark vibe with a constant drum beat which sounds almost 80s new wave style in its production.
That’s interesting, especially if it’s true.Birds in Hell wrote:This guy is going to get his buddy's wife fired because he can't keep his mouth shut about a new Pearl Jam song.

Every time I take a few minutes to catch up on the last 2-3 pages of this thread I equally want to hear the damn record and want to kill myself.

The funny thing is that the band started "writing with the live set in mind" around self titled right? Nobody on Earth buys tickets to their shows hoping to hear Life Wasted and Fixer.durdencommatyler wrote:I don't know that I'm 100% on board with this take but I agree far more than I disagree. I’d like an album that is driven by its own creative energy, and not a tick box list of “here’s your punk song” “here’s your building epic” etc.evenslow wrote:hey McP i'm curious about someone like you - what is your expectation continuum for the new record? like what would you be satisfied with at this point in their career? and what do you see as the realistic ceiling?

It was also quoted as the title on the Pit from Friday morning, a Philly radio DJ dropped the name of the song. Was supposed to be release Friday, but then got changed to a later date.Anders wrote:Birds in Hell wrote:https://www.reddit.com/r/pearljam/comme ... d_the_new/Sgt. I wonder if the climate change theme was a way to engage Stone? Seems like that would be one of the only things that could reanimate him enough to participate in Eddies band again.

BoB didn't produce this album. I'm more excited now.

My baseline wish is for this thing to be truly different so that’s good news.
