That would be cool. There was a Kevin Davis sighting. How about lament?
Someone with the user name Porn Break should know exactly what Matt Lament is up to

Last time I saw Mike, he was at our neighborhood coffee shop struggling to maintain his two sons’ behavior. And then they bounced into his Tesla Model X
I didn't know he had two kids.
According to Wikipedia, he has three!
The more you know

I didn't know he drank coffee
Surely he drinks decaf, bc every time I see him, he has the energy of a hopped up Wall Street suit
I mean I'm not BFF with him like you are but I've always had the same impression.
I mean, I know he’s clean and that’s awesome, but it’s like his blood is just permanently laced with cocaine residue

friend's wife works at spotify, has heard the new single and its name is...

DANCE OF CLAIRVOYANCE.

i know i'm just some random internet person but i trust my friend. here's to new music!!

Update: I’ve still not heard it myself but hearing that drop date is Jan 24

Update 2: it’s a lower tempo song. A very present synth throughout. Dark vibe with a constant drum beat which sounds almost 80s new wave style in its production.

That’s interesting, especially if it’s true.

Every time I take a few minutes to catch up on the last 2-3 pages of this thread I equally want to hear the damn record and want to kill myself.

I mean the only album I think is bad is Lightning Bolt. But I do feel that every album post-Riot Act replaces a little more of the band’s artistic ambition with an ever-growing attempt to be reactive to the fans, and figure out what it is that will keep them buying stuff. I’d like an album that is driven by its own creative energy, and not a tick box list of “here’s your punk song” “here’s your building epic” etc.
I don't know that I'm 100% on board with this take but I agree far more than I disagree. And I can appreciate what you're getting at. The final sentence really rang true for me. I think to that point, things started dipping when Ed started writing songs specifically for live sets.
The funny thing is that the band started "writing with the live set in mind" around self titled right? Nobody on Earth buys tickets to their shows hoping to hear Life Wasted and Fixer.

It was also quoted as the title on the Pit from Friday morning, a Philly radio DJ dropped the name of the song. Was supposed to be release Friday, but then got changed to a later date.

I wonder if the climate change theme was a way to engage Stone? Seems like that would be one of the only things that could reanimate him enough to participate in Eddies band again.

BoB didn't produce this album. I'm more excited now.

My baseline wish is for this thing to be truly different so that’s good news.
