More random info from the forum formally known as the pit:
Universal (where you can pre-order) just sent an E-Mail. Dance of the Clairvoyants will be available on January 21st! Can’t wait to listen to the new music!
Back story was someone pre-ordered from the virginemi website (cheaper I guess) and got a confirmation email that stated 1/21. So you guys only have about a week to find a leak if true.

Yeah, I put in an order there and can easily cancel if it's cheaper somewhere else. No tax, too.

yeah i've done that before with Bullmoose and it's generally a pretty smooth processSimple Torture wrote:Yeah, I put in an order there and can easily cancel if it's cheaper somewhere else. No tax, too.
i'm certain it'll be cheaper on Amazon. maybe not at the time of listing, but i'd be willing to bet it drops down to $30-32

love this.Monkey_Driven wrote:Considering the cover art, title, and previous themes and ideas explored by the band I think this album could cover some intriguing areas:
- The loss of a material good/relationship/person/idea/natural phenomenon you have taken for granted. How do you cope? Who/what is left when it is gone?
- The finite nature of the world. What's the point?
- Corporate/business machinations that lead to destruction/corruption. Revisiting some of the ground explored in Riot Act, but with a contemporary spin. The world itself is much more important than money.
- Crumbling of long defined, established institutions (government, democracy, bipartisanship, ice caps). What replaces them?
- How do we fight back? What community can be formed to make a meaningful change? Who is there for us when the weight of the world overwhelms us?
I'm not saying this album will tackle any of this with eloquence or tact, but I'm excited to hear more.

Amazon has had a tough time keeping up with new releases. Anecdotally, plenty of people getting emails on release day saying LPs are delayed by a few weeks (like the recent NIN reissue).bodysnatcher wrote:yeah i've done that before with Bullmoose and it's generally a pretty smooth processSimple Torture wrote:Yeah, I put in an order there and can easily cancel if it's cheaper somewhere else. Gonna be rad as hell when Bill Maher asks the band in the press kit, and they’re like “we called it gigaton because we want to gig a ton, and wrote the songs with the live show in mind”
(patriotic choking noises)
