I do wonder if they play SNL, since that was rumored a while back. Given the tour schedule, it would have to be before or after the tour. I don’t know how far out SNL has picked their guests.

They don't have anything announced past January at this point...i bet at the very least they announce the Feb schedule soon! I could see them doing the March 14 show.scrub12 wrote:I do wonder if they play SNL, since that was rumored a while back. Given the tour schedule, it would have to be before or after the tour. Same price as Easy Street. I’ll probably order it from them.

thank you. I never finished lightning bolt or yield. I should finish those someday for completion’s sake. I’ll almost certainly do one for the new album to the best of my abilityliebzz wrote:Also, I loved stip’s guided tours. I quite literally thought of almost none of the connections he made, and it influenced some further listens. That was a good time to be here.

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread
The last time PJ released a good album (minus the zombie pyramid and avocados), my son was an infant. He is now a teenager.
The last time they released a great album (RIP original PJ
), I was a newlywed. I have been married for over 17 years.
With this context in mind, it amazes me that I'm actually still intrigued (and perhaps quietly hopeful) by another new album. I really had no reaction whatsoever when I first saw the Ten Club email announcing Gigaton. That would have been a shock to my younger self, since a new PJ album used to be treated as a major life event. But once I came back here and started lurking around a bit, seeing the old familiar names and avatars, realizing that the pessimistic assholes are still pessimistic assholes and the good old boys haven't had their spirits crushed yet, those old feelings just started to resuscitate. Oh, God help us...

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread
For the record, my most vivid recollection from when I used to post here (LB era) was collectively watching harmless have a total meltdown because he was accused of taking his obsession with PJ and his general excitement for an upcoming album way too seriously. Hahaha... good times

The last time PJ released a new album I was up north staying with my parents for a bit while I dealt with an ugly divorce - that feels like a lifetime ago

I'm going to start banning people that post fake tracklists. The ban will remain until after the album is officially released.
