Well dont they have their hand in the secondary market? The show would sell out regardless of fan club tickets I assume.Monkey_Driven wrote:They can guarantee those seats and Ticketmaster gets to collect their $20 a ticket in service charges?Strat wrote:Now, considering ticketmasters practices and monopolies, how does pearl jam get away with this? Looks like the confirmation does not say if you are selected for Reserved or GA. Those seat locations will be revealed on January 27th after the public sale. Ok, now I'm concerned about TM chicanery.

I wish they'd at least tell us if we got GA or reserved, then they can tell us seat numbers later.

Yes, and if they assured fan club members that our reserved seats will be better than public sale seats.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I wish they'd at least tell us if we got GA or reserved, then they can tell us seat numbers later.

Yeah, not a fan of that at all. Assumed we would get result of GA vs. Reserved based on the wording and logistics...
I only put in for QC, chose Best Available, and got confirmation email; doesn't say anything about general location, just that we'll find out week of January 27.

AFAIK this has never been the case, not have they promised it. I've had public sale tickets in the middle of fan club sections.Monkey_Driven wrote:Yes, and if they assured fan club members that our reserved seats will be better than public sale seats.E.H. Their "assurance" was always "some of the best seats in the house" or something generic like that. A 10C section is rarely, if ever, all 10C members anyway.Bi_3 wrote:AFAIK this has never been the case, not have they promised it. I couldn't get fan club tickets this time. I am relocating in a few weeks and with a new job coming too, i decided to see how the regular ticket market goes as the shows get closer. Haven't gone this way in a long time.

I did a single in the general sale in 2016 for Greenville and it was one of the best seats I've ever had at a PJ show.lowlight79 wrote:I couldn't get fan club tickets this time. It can happen. I've never done a verified fan public sale before, but buying tickets on Ticketmaster is such an incredibly stressful experience.E.H. Correct, Ticketmaster makes the same whether they sell the arena out to Fan Club or to randoms.Monkey_Driven wrote:They can guarantee those seats and Ticketmaster gets to collect their $20 a ticket in service charges?Strat wrote:Now, considering ticketmasters practices and monopolies, how does pearl jam get away with this? I've had decent luck with buying through the general onsale. Decent in that it's gotten me in the building, but I've been in the top section, even when just grabbing a single. I attribute this to the fact that I've only done this at the Garden, which is always more difficult.

Re: 2020 Tour (Rumors) (aka Gig A Ton) (aka Gigatour)
This was through the public on sale day of the show night 1 at MSG in 2016. First time sitting in such "Crappy" seats for a pj show but it turned out to be a very cool experience.

That would be distracting to me. I'd be watching all the behind the scenes stuff rather than focusing on the music and the band.
