Except TI pretty much abandoned rock sound and became a techno pop dance bandAnders wrote:I did think of Tame Impala when I heard it, and they are also releasing a new album.

It sounds very much like one of many Instagram teasers matt Cameron has dropped over the past year or so.

Certainly hope not.evenslow wrote:and if it's them, i think it's pretty clearly an intro, perhaps before the music goes other places.
I hope the rest of the song is built around this snippet. It's promising.

When that synth drops it sounds like the beginning of "Turning Japanese" by the Vapors.

Re: Dance Of The Clairvoyants
I listen to a lot of Kevin Parker and he always has an unmistakable drum sound, that is definitely not Tame Impala.

Re: Dance Of The Clairvoyants
I would think synth-heavy music would be right up his alley based on all of the weird shit he has been doing lately.Strat wrote:Maybe mike was forced to release that statement as penance for him almost quitting the band over this album. It ass probably a dark time for him because there wasn’t space for him to rip meaty solos and run around the stage

Re: Dance Of The Clairvoyants
Drum and bass could definitely be Matt and Jeff but I can't imagine anyone in the band (besides maybe Matt) playing that synth part. No way that's Boom.
