Oh it's not a bad thing. My JFC was because I can picture people getting mad at it

It never has (as far as I remember) but I've certainly seen that misunderstanding repeated a lot over the years.

There'd be no motivation for new members to join if that were the case.

place of residence vs. location of venue would be a nice weight to add at some point

hate to see locals get shut out of their own show

although managing that in the major metropolitans prob a challenge

And the problem that a vast majority of members don't live near a major market. They will never alienate their fanbase like that.

The locals already benefit in the fact that they don't need to pay for hotels or airfare and can sleep in their own bed and possibly not even need to take a single day off of work. That's a huge benefit right there.

maybe they wait to send the sorry emails until a couple days from now bc they will release tickets on hold bc the person’s credit card info failed and they never updated it within the window
