It’s too good to let go.
I just hope it’s treated carefully.
Ed comes up with wonderful songs that the band often fuck up out of all shape.
Can’t keep is the only successful rendition comes to mind
Wish he’d stay in that register.
I got mocked openly here for saying he sounds fuckin amazing right now after the Dublin show.
That’s his best voice. His natural space. He can still belt it out and sound huge.
That song perfect example of it.

when he doesn't have to sing over a loudass rock band, he still achieves greatness. i felt the same way about cornell's solo tours.dimejinky99 wrote:evenslow wrote:if they keep it tasteful it should be fantastic. it's also a nice register for his current voice.dimejinky99 wrote:I posted it here him playing it live here in Dublin and hoping and praying it would make the cut.

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread (real tracklists released!)
I really do think that whatever happens in the last 2 weeks of making any record is what determines alot of what people around here think of it. Mixing, sequencing, what songs to keep in and leave off. With 5 songwriters, I feel like they've insulated themselves from any huge decline in songwriting, IMO. It's all come down to how they want to present themselves - ie 'we are PJ hear us roar' or 'we're gonna put these ones out and let you guys chew on them and then you tell us what this is'.
And, the deaths of Chris Cornell and Shaun Smith and maybe feeling relegated have to tell me they have lots to say and reflect on.

Yup, I agree! I also agree with you on 'Can't keep'. I hope the band doesn't fuck this one up.dimejinky99 wrote:evenslow wrote:if they keep it tasteful it should be fantastic. it's also a nice register for his current voice.dimejinky99 wrote:I posted it here him playing it live here in Dublin and hoping and praying it would make the cut.

1. Buckle Up (for the car ride to the beach to go surfing)
2. Quick Escape (getting out of the car)
3. Dance of the Clairvoyants (fuck yeah! The surf forecast guys were right)
4. Superblood Wolf Moon (it’s what they yell now on the north shore instead of yelling Cowabunga)
5. Alright (reflecting on that last wave, it was a solid one)
6. Retrograde (sorry guys no clue)
7. Seven O'Clock (now the beach is starting to get crowded)
8. Who Ever Said (sorry guys no clue)
9. Comes Then Goes (the rain)
10. Take The Long Way (heading home after a killer sesh, taking the long way for enough time to listen to Fear Innoculum)
11. River Cross (the long way includes driving over a river)
12. Never Destination (didn’t make it home - died in car crash crossing river after surfing)

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread (real tracklists released!)
I'm kinda hoping that Superblood Wolfmoon is the new Future Days. It's the kind of kick in the nuts I expect from these guys these days.
"I really enjoy sandwiches but the other guys are so good at making sandwiches that I don't make them. Now I make sandwiches."
