Future Days was uninteresting from the start, though. This one is solid.

That song’s producer is mercifully out of the picture.

What if that’s all the rest of the band are letting him have this time around?
Ed: Hey guys, I got these songs I want to toss around.
The Band: you get one Ed, just one, now take these song and go write something!
Jeff: I don’t you dare come out of that closet until you’re done!

Doesn't mean it can't still be butchered. Remember when we all heard the speed of sound demo and got excited? Hopefully now with BoB out of the picture, this won't happen anymore

Stone: Ten, VS
The Powerstruggle: Vitalogy, No Code
Ed: Binaural, Riot Act, S/T, BS, LB
Jeff: Gigaton

Which is very very logical, both Heaven/Hell and RNDM were awesome project. And he made the only interesting contributions on LB, writing the only good tracks on that album. And making Getaway a good song...

Yield could be considered a Jeff/Stone album. Vitalogy was all Ed

you know that weird background music that’s played in that last clip which opens the record is the band’s walk up music for their shows.

I excite.

Yield was Ed very consciously taking his hands off the wheel. He only wrote the music for two songs and then let Stone/Jeff write lyrics for 4 of the songs. Yield is by far the most varied full-band effort. Even Jack had a song.

i'm also willing to bet that's the intro to song #1, but i suppose it could easily be the intro to side B or C

We always feel a new album will be better than the last, don't we?
