if Can't Deny Me – and the response to it – represents a true pivot in songwriting and creativity for this album, it may as well become one of the most important songs the band has ever written.

so you’re telling me they cut out the 7 potentially potable seconds out of 52 minutes of agony and contracted with an outside-the-box marketing firm to promo the hell out of it only so that we can find out once we hit ‘play’ that ‘Can’t Deny Me’ was simply re-named ‘Superwolf Bloodmoon’ ?

honestly, if they simply renamed CDM and put it on this album, i'd respect them more than the last 15 years combined.

Something like that sample needs some context around it to even begin to guess what it means, but it is certainly different.

Has anyone hit up that song trademarking website for copyrights that has lead fans to song titles previously?
The new songs are surely in there if the record is being manufactured now. I would do it, but I have no idea how.

https://cocatalog.loc.gov The newest stuff that Eddie's copyrighted include "Grief Whore," "Traveler," and "Rubbertramp" from 2017, 2015, and 2014, respectively. Stone's got a bunch from 2016. Jeff and Matt ones seem to be connected to their solo work and RNDM. Mike's stuff is his guest spots, I think, and maybe stuff for that art project. Nothing that seems like it would be new stuff for the album.

Ok this is really cool. Brett's research on Ed copyrighting Grief Whore backs up Matt Cameron's Insta story that Ed was getting "weird" with the soundcloud inspiration

a compendium of good signs (to my mind):

- album art
- that intro music
- NO CAN'T DENY ME
- NO BOB
- dance of the clairvoyants song title (doesn't sound like pj)
- dance of the clairvoyants bill simmons clip (doesn't sound like pj)
- river cross on the album
- tracklisting song titles don't sound like warmed over garbage.
- descriptions of "new wave" and "talking heads vibe" and "not a lot of 3-minute rockers."
- mike's quote about the process being difficult and confusing but ultimately rewarding (i paraphrase).

add all of it up and you get something akin to sgt. pepper's crossed with dark side of the moon.

All of this. Feels like they've let go of the "we are a polished classic arena rock live act" mode of the last 15 years or so - which is great because I've hated that period...

I am reluctant to over speculate but those three items in bold seem like things you can start to work with. We'll know a lot more when we hear the song, obviously

With River Cross being the last song, its likely that It will fade out using the sounds that we heard in the Instagram Stories snippet of the first track...?

As somebody already pointed, could be Master/Slave kind if structure all again. I'd be happy if this happen and we get an extended version of that nonsense sound

They're not doing it in the future, but they're on the record as saying they will send out singles for the years they owe us for.
